Item Details
This English rosewood side or work table dates to the William IV or early Victorian period, approximately created around 1840. The table features a rosewood veneer with a polished finish, characteristic of the period's craftsmanship. It is designed for functional use, suitable for various purposes. The table showcases highly figured grain patterns distinctive of premium antique rosewood. It features a single cockbeaded frieze drawer fitted with two original turned knob pulls and a central keyhole escutcheon. Structurally, the desk is built over a classic architectural trestle base, where two square-section end pillars support the top and rest on block feet. These supports are firmly braced by an elegantly turned pole stretcher and are raised on substantial, flattened bun feet
